Graduation……
Graduation day is upon us.
Everyone’s making such a big fuss.
I’m scared and I don’t know what to do.
I don’t want to admit it, but it’s true.
What will happen to my friends?
Some will succeed. Some will reach dead ends.
I’ll miss the things we used to do.
I love hanging with my “crew”.
Hanging out at Denny’s and games on Friday nights
Fighting the school system for all our adolescent rights
Dancing in the studio, I felt so free.
I’ll miss the inside jokes. Like the one about Lee.
I’ll miss talking about my favorite kid shows.
I’ll even miss Jump Up Jamie and Andrew Boze.
The scavenger hunt was so much fun.
I loved band camp because I tan from the sun.
I loved the birthday parties and the excitement they would bring.
I loved riding in the car, singing the songs we used to sing.
I’ll miss all my friends in the class of 2009,
Even though we’re the ones who are pretty, pimping and fine
I’ll remember the trips and the memories they brought.
I’ll remember the people I met and all the fights that were fought.
I’ll remember the best friend that moved away.
And the classmate that died who won’t be with us in May
It’s almost over; it’s coming to an end.
Goodbye to my friends. Our lives are about to begin.

SENIORS 2008
This page is dedicated to all 2008 seniors. It will provide you all with detail information about upcoming events and also provide you with an in depth look at your senior year. We hope that it will allow you to be informed but also give you the opportunity to express yourselves and this new adventure. Please feel free to submit senior information or articles to the KHS Lions Pride Online Newspaper. We congratulate you all on a great year and look forward to your big day in May. We support our Seniors 08!!!
3/24/08-Senior Fundraiser!, Mary Jane Heard
Within the next few weeks the seniors will be selling Lion Gold Cards. The cards will be sold for $10 and they will be well worth it! Many businesses from around town will be offering great discounts for card holders. Please support the senior class by buying one of these cards. The money raised will be used for our senior brunch and will also go towards a senior gift.
3/4/08-Listen Up Seniors!!
Senior class officers and class sponsors are beginning to work very hard on planning senior activities that will take place this spring. The officers are thinking of creative and fun fundraising ideas to raise money for the senior brunch and a senior gift. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Along with fundraisers and the senior brunch, the officers are brainstorming many ideas for other senior activities to take place during the next couple of months. One idea that we are currently working on is a senior picnic during late April. This is a very exciting time for the seniors and everyone is working very hard to make this year a very memorable one. If you have any suggestions please contact one of the senior officers or members of the newspaper staff. You can also check out our blog to send suggestions or if you have any questions or concerns.
1/14/08-Saying Goodbye, Kayla Sinkule
As the year draws closer to the end the seniors of are getting closer to their final goodbyes. Sadly some of us are saying our goodbyes sooner than others. Many relationships have been built and lost through out the years. Best friends, boyfriends, and memories, will physically go away but will always be with us as memories. Our hearts will alwyas be with Kaufman High School and we will not forget the great Lion Pride! Good Luck class of 2008!
